Risk is the central interest that drives my career. As a quality engineer in the medical device industry, I focused on minimizing patient risk and ultimately ensuring patient safety. I learned about government regulations and the history of medical device safety. I pursued a robust quality system that optimized change control and continuous improvement. I continued my focus on minimizing risk as a design engineer though product development. I championed LEAN project risk mitigation to limit delays and excessive resources in project rollouts. Project risk mitigation ensured medical devices were developed and delivered to patients in the fastest way possible, without sacrificing safety. I am looking forward to a career that continues to look at limiting risk as a driving factor in future success.
